Hedgehogs on a walk

This piece, born out of the challenging times in Ukraine, encapsulates not only the vast, cold backdrop of snow but also the spirit of a people confronting the challenges of war.

At its core are the antitank hedgehogs adorned with a garland of twinkling lights. Their sharp forms stand in stark contrast to the light mist that dissolves into the air in the background. This misty veil symbolizes the blurred boundaries between reality and hope inherent in tumultuous times.

The garland transitioning into barbed wire conveys the dual concept of festivity and the harsh reality of wartime. This contrast has been a pivotal element in my work, reflecting the unity of peace and resistance in the face of adversity.

In the background, amidst the mist, silhouettes of people forge their path. These figures underscore an integral part of our lives during wartime, where people find the strength to adorn their world even in the most challenging moments.
